Sophomore at UW-La Crosse. Transfer student from UW-Milwaukee. Currently undecided. Working on my General Education requirements.
Experience
This would be my first tutoring job. I have tutored in high school for friends and just to help out but I have not had a full time tutoring position. My mom has had a daycare in my house my entire life and I absolutely love children. So it would be preferable to have kids in the elementary to middle school age to tutor. However, I would be willing to tutor struggling high school kids if the subject is one I'm familiar with. I played percussion in band for 8 years and would be willing to help with basic theory and instrumental instruction for beginners. I took 6 years of French. I am not fluent but would like to get back into learning the language. I still have a basic understanding for those just starting with the language. I need a part time job to help pay for tuition and this would be perfect as I can set my own hours (if they match up with yours.) I enjoy working with kids and the satisfaction of knowing that I helped them learn a useful skill or subject. I received a 29 on my ACT in high school. I've taken AP Calc, AP English, AP Chemistry, and several other advanced classes in high school. In college I've taken a wide range of courses including Philosophy, Psychology, History, Astronomy, Guitar, Environmental studies and more. I was in National Honors Society in High school and currently have a 3.5 GPA.
